A Deputy National Communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), George Krobea Asante, has been honoured with an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Humane Letters (Dr. HL), by Elohim Theological College and Seminary.

The award, according to the College, is to appreciate Mr. Asante’s selfless stewardship to the nation as former Presiding Member for Birim North District Assembly, Assemblyman for Akoase Ahenbronum Electoral Area for two consecutive terms, Head of Corporate Communications for Metro Mass Transit Ltd and Deputy National Communications Director for the NPP.

It is also to appreciate his efforts and contributions in helping to transform Ghana and the many lives he positively impacted in the period under review.

At an award ceremony held in Kumasi, the Deputy NPP Communications Director expressed his eternal gratitude to the Doctoral Board of the Elohim Theological College and Seminary for the recognition while he is still live.

“My deepest appreciation also goes to Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party who has been supportive all these years of my journey through the political landscape.

“Again, I thank Dr. Charles Dwamena (Dr. China), the National Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party and the entire National Executives for their unflinching support since my appointment as Deputy National Communications Director of our party.

“Lastly, to the Managing Director of Metro Mass Transit Ltd, Mr. Albert Adu – Boahen, the Management Team and the entire staff of the company, I say a big thank you for the support,” Mr. Krobea Asante added.
