The Minister for Interior, Ambrose Dery, acting on behalf of the government has declared Tuesday, May 3, 2022 as a statutory public holiday.
The Minister in a communiqué said, “The general public is hereby informed that Tuesday, 3rd May, 2022 which marks Eid-ul Fitr, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”
The Muslim Community in Ghana are expected to complete this year’s Ramadan (Fasting from dawn to dust) on Monday, May 2, 2022 which automatically means they would have to perform the Eid-ul Fitr festival the next day, Tuesday May 3.
