A pregnant woman and her newborn baby are reported to be in good condition after she unexpectedly went into labour and delivered on a farm near Osonson Sekesua in the Upper Manya Krobo District of the Eastern Region.
The woman, accompanied by her mother-in-law, was on her way to a nearby health centre on foot due to the unavailability of transportation.
Taking a bush path through a farm, she suddenly went into labour and was forced to lie down on the farm to deliver on the morning of Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
According to Citi News reports, a midwife identified as Helen received an urgent call alerting her that a pregnant woman in labour was stranded en route to the facility.
Acting quickly, the midwife and her assistant gathered essential medical supplies and rushed to the location.
The baby was safely delivered on the farm with the support of the health workers, who ensured both mother and child received immediate care.
Both are now being monitored at the health centre and are said to be in stable condition.
It will be recalled that in 2022, a nurse earned the respect and praise at her place of work after a heroic act she exhibited in saving the lives of a pregnant mother and her unborn baby.

The nurse with no skills in child delivery was among passengers travelling from Tamale to Nalerigu when a pregnant woman went into labour during the journey.
With the help of students from the Nalerigu Nursing Training Colleague and other passengers in the car, who supported with clothes, a blade, pampers, rubber bags, soap, and water, Miss Atanga delivered her baby.
