The Management of National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) has commended its staff for their hard-work, dedication and commitment to work over the years.

“And to the staff you have no idea what your participation means to us – those who were with us at the beginning of health insurance will tell you, nothing builds an office or an organization but commitment, love for what you do is the hallmark; so let us all come together, let us have commitment for our organization, let us work hard and working hard begins from what we have done.”

The NHIA Director in charge of Private Health Insurance Scheme, Mr. Hudu Issah made these remarks when he addressed staff of the NHIS in Tamale on Saturday, December 31, 2022, during a health walk to climax the active month campaign in the northern region.

Mr. Hudu intimated the bond among the staff is very important for the organization and further admonished them to maintain the cordiality and good working relationship.

“So keep it up, and I tell you – don’t whatever you’re doing is not noticed, people observe and at the right and appropriate time it will be rewarded” he emphasized.

The PHIS Director also thanked various stakeholders including the media for supporting the authority during the period to educate Ghanaians on the innovations and digital transformation agenda of the NHIS.

The NHIA Ag Director for the Northern Belt, Mr. Titus Sorey, for his part stated the idea of holding the 2022 Active Membership Month in the northern region was in line with the vision and agenda of Dr Bernard Okoe Boye, the NHIA Chief Executive, which includes decentralization to harmonize their operations and functions more effectively than before.

“Most especially the fact that after 20 years of listening to customers we had to introduce an application [MyNHISApp] that we will reach out to them, serve them better and ensure that they are happy with our services” he added.
