The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that its Steering Committee, National Executive Committee and National Council meetings of the party, which had initially been scheduled for January 31, have been postponed to February 2, 2023.
A statement issued by the party’s General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong, indicated that this development has been necessitated by the urgent need for broader stakeholder consultations and engagements on matters that would be discussed at the said meetings.
“Further, given the importance of such matters and the magnitude of their anticipated impacts on the political fortunes of the NPP, it is prudent that all relevant stakeholders are given the opportunity to attend the meetings, particularly for the significant number of expected attendees who would have missed the initial date due to their work schedules.
“The leadership of the Party apologizes for any inconvenience this might have caused, and appeals to all stakeholders to comply with this information in the interest of the Party”, the statement concluded.
