Aspiring NPP National Chairman, Boakye Agyarko, engaged the Savannah Regional Council of Elders and Patrons, Regional Executives, Constituency Executives, and other key stakeholders as part of his nationwide consultations with party members.
A key highlight of the engagement was Agyarko’s longstanding working relationship with the Party’s Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He noted that over the years, they have worked closely together in various capacities in service to the Party and government. As Campaign Manager, he worked alongside Dr. Bawumia when the latter served as Running Mate.

Later, as Campaign Policy Advisor, he collaborated with Dr. Bawumia in his role as Chairman of the Party’s Manifesto Committee. Subsequently, as Minister for Energy and a member of the Economic Management Team, Agyarko worked under the leadership of Vice President Bawumia, who chaired the Team.

Agyarko stressed that the role of National Chairman is to support and complement the Flagbearer, not compete with him.
He assured members that, if elected, he would leverage his experience and strong working relationship with Dr. Bawumia to foster unity, strengthen party structures, and build an effective campaign machinery capable of delivering victory for the NPP in 2028.

The engagement was attended by Regional Executives, Elders, Patrons, former government officials, and grassroots leaders, many of whom expressed confidence in Agyarko’s experience, leadership credentials, and commitment to the growth and success of the Party.

He expressed his profound appreciation to the Savannah Regional leadership and party faithful for their warm reception, support, and unwavering commitment to the NPP.
