Mr. Richfield Quarshie, President of IPMP's Young Crew

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of STEED, a cocoa buying company, Richfield Anlimah Quarshie has been elected as the President of the Young Crew for the next two years.

Young Crew is a branch founded under the auspices of the Institute of Project Management Professionals (IPMP), which is also a member of IPMA (International Project Management Association), the world’s leading non-profit project management organization.

Other members of the Young Crew Executive include Frank Assenso, Vice President; Lydia Safoa, Secretary; Patricia Nelson, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Kenneth Osei-Ansong, Treasurer; and Richard Jones Asare, Project Coordinator.

Young Crew is a key component of IPMP’s development by bringing together students, present and future project leaders up to the age of 35, thus creating a network of people who through the exchange of information and knowledge will become top experts in project management.

It is also part of an international youth project family that brings together people from the field of project management and students aged 21 to 35.

Members of the Young Crew Executive Board are required to represent and advise Young Crew in all matters, as well as timely and in the best possible way to communicate activities conducted under the Young Crew and to report on the work of the Young Crew to all stakeholders.

One person is appointed the President of the Young Crew through congress election.

The mandate of the Young Crew President lasts for two years and one person may be elected to a maximum of two mandates.

In exceptional cases or violations of the Young Crew Rules of Conduct, the President can be dismissed.

In that case, the Young Crew Vice president steps in until the next election.

Procedurally, the new President is elected within the maximum of two weeks at an emergency meeting of the Young Crew Executive Board with a majority votes of remaining members and is approved by the Young Crew Members and the IPMP Executive Board.
