He noted this will also ensure reliable power supply with minimal losses and maximized value for all stakeholders especially the utility consumers.
“Our collective commitment to service excellence, efficiency, and innovation will define our path forward. This makes it key that I share my vision, take your views and, most importantly, call for your unwavering support and collaboration as we work together to transform NEDCo to be a financially sustainable, customer-focused and efficient electricity distribution utility, delivering reliable power with minimal losses and maximize value for all stakeholders, especially the customer – our employer” he emphasized.
Addressing Journalists in Tamale on Tuesday, (25th February, 2025), Mr. Yamoah highlighted Low Revenue Collection, High Distribution Losses and Low Customer Satisfaction as some significant challenges undermining efforts of the institution from becoming the leading power distributor in the sub region.
“These challenges are not insurmountable. In fact, with the right strategies, commitment, and teamwork, we can overcome them. To our advantage, we have experienced staff with a good understanding of the issues and viable solutions to work with” he said.
Mr. John Okine Yamoah also promised to improve revenue collection and efficiency, improve operating efficiency to reduce losses and wastage, improve customer experience and improve staff productivity to overcome these challenges and celebrate its success.
“Achieving these goals will require the commitment and support of every single one of us. Neither I nor my management team can do this alone. We need your ideas, your constructive criticism, your energy, and your dedication to drive NEDCo forward. Together, we can transform this organisation into a model of excellence in the power distribution sector. In this regard, it is important that we all bring our shoulders to the wheel in one accord with one focus and vision, irrespective of our seeming differences in areas like colour, race, religion, gender, ethnicity” he emphasized.
