Six suspects have been arrested in connection with a series of robberies in Greater Accra and Central Regions for carjacking and other crimes.
The Ghana Police Service announced that the suspects were picked up through a targeted intelligence-led operation between April 15-17th, 2022.
These suspects whose names are: Jibril Musa alias Danturi; Husain Sampa; Daniel Acquah; Anthony Sackey; Michael Ojo; and Ade Banjor were picked up at various locations across the two regions.
One locally manufactured gun, one foreign pistol, a cache of ammunitions, two iPhones and four wristwatches were retrieved. One of the stolen cars was retrieved too.
According to the Police, the suspects have admitted during interrogations their involvement in robberies over the years and they are helping the Police in investigations. Some of the victims of these crimes have been contacted by the Police
