The Minority Leader interacting with some of the patients at the TTH Pediatric Ward

The Minority Leader of Parliament and Member of Parliament of Tamale South Constituency, Hon Haruna Iddrisu, has helped to pay the medical bills of some patients on admission at the Pediatric ward of the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

The lawmaker visited the major health delivering facility in the north on his 52nd Birthday anniversary to interact with patients and the health workers.

Information gathered from close sources told THE CUSTODIAN Online that the former Minister of Communication incurred a cash amount of about ten thousand cedis (GHS10,000) to enable the less endowed families foot their medical expenses.

The legislator said, “On the occasion of my 52nd birthday, Alhamdulilah, Alhamdulilah, today probably, a baby being born is returning back to the maker, so I should thank God for his grace. I take pride in my humility and my reputation, the primary source of my humility is growing up recognizing that in coming to the world as a baby I was helped, and in leaving the world as a dead person I will be helped. It is to recognize that I need others and I work with others.”

Meanwhile, THE CUSTODIAN Northern Regional Correspondent, Mohammed Gadafi, gathered that the National Democratic Congress lawmaker also paid the mortuary fee of one of patients at the pediatric before the disgruntled family was given access to the body for burial.
