The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has congratulated Mr. Theophilus Yartey on his appointment as the Editor of Graphic and Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL).
The Association expressed hope Mr. Yartey’s appointment will bring a new lease of life into the management and operations of the biggest Newspaper organization in the country.
A release signed by President of the GJA, Albert Dwumfuor, noted that as an executive management position of the GCGL with oversight responsibility over all other news brands of the Group, Mr. Yartey will leverage his 30 years of experience in the media to galvanise the staff to rejuvenate the Graphic brands.
“This is very critical in an era where newspaper business has changed with the advent of new media and general online journalism.”
“The Association looks forward to working closely with Mr. Yartey in its efforts to enhance quality journalism, promote the tenets of democracy and the development of the country.”
The GJA expressed confidence Mr. Theophilus Yartey will continue to work in the larger interest of corporate Ghana and for that matter the GCGL.
The Association also extended its congratulatory message to three other staff of the Company namely Mr. Enoch Darfah Frimpong, Editor of Graphic Digital, Madam Hannah Acheampong Amoah, Editor of the Junior Graphic and Mr. Asamoah Boahene, Editor, Graphic Business who have been elevated to the various positions.
