The Vice President and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate Aspirant, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will begin his campaign tour of the Northern Region today Monday, October 23, 2023, to meet delegates of the party ahead of the Presidential Primaries slated on November 4.

Dr Bawumia will spend five days to visit all eighteen (18) constituencies in the region and interact with polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency and regional executives who are voters in the impending elections.

Per the timetable sighted by THE CUSTODIAN ONLINE, the presumptive flagbearer of the NPP is expected to visit the Kpandai, Wulensi, Bimbila and Mion constituencies on day one of the weeklong tour.

He is expected to directly interact with the voters in these areas and share his vision and message with them in order to canvass support to be elected as flagbearer of the party for the 2024 general elections.

He will proceed to Tatale-Sanguli, Zabzugu, Saboba and Yendi constituencies on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will wrapped up his your of the eastern corridor of the region with a visit to Gushegu and Karaga before navigating to Savelugu and Nanton the same day.

On Thursday, he will travel to Tolon, Kumbungu, Sagnarigu and Tamale North constituencies to also engage with the electorates in those constituencies.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will wrapped up the tour of the Northern Region on Friday with a meeting with delegates in the Tamale Central and Tamale South constituencies in the regional capital, Tamale.

Meanwhile, various youth groups and sympathizers of the Vice President prior to his arrival have mobilized to give him a rousing welcome to the region.

Several of the grassroot members in an interaction with THE CUSTODIAN gave various reasons why Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the right candidate for the NPP if the party is determined to break the eight in 2024 and succeed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

They believe Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has not only served the party distinctively but he has also demonstrated his competence to lead the governing party to victory in next year’s general elections.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia obtained 47 votes out of total votes of 51 in the northern region during the Super Delegates Confab on August 26.   He is anticipated to command another massive support from the grassroot voters in a fortnight time when the party goes into the polls.
