Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Executive Chairman of APN

Co-founder and Senior Partner at Africa Legal Associates, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has voiced his frustration over the delayed construction of the Flower Pot Junction flyover across the Tema Motorway into East Legon.

The project, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion on the Spintex Road intersection and East Legon on both sides of the Tema Motorway has faced setbacks that have left both commuters and authorities exasperated.

Despite the availability of secured funding, the pace of construction has raised eyebrows, prompting Otchere Darko’s pointed criticism.

In a post on his Facebook Wall, Gabby Otchere-Darko did not mince words, stating, “If a road contractor deserves to be lashed, then it is the one building the Flower Pot Junction flyover. They work as if it is a part-time charity job even though there’s secured funding for the project. Galling!”

The Flower Pot Junction, a bustling intersection on Spintex Road, has long been a bottleneck for traffic, leading to the decision to construct a flyover across the Motorway to streamline the flow of vehicles.

However, the slow progress on the construction site has sparked public discontent.
