Alhaji Alidu Abdul Rahaman addressing Journalists

The 2024 Parliamentary Candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Tamale North Constituency, Alhaji Abdul Rahaman Alidu, popularly known as Abre has warned the incumbent National Democratic Congress Member of Parliament, Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini to stay off government projects in the constituency.

He emphasized the NDC lawmaker should shy away from associating himself with the infrastructure projects the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia led NPP government is executing in the constituency.

“It is a clear case of hypocrisy to criticize and insult the NPP government and run back to the constituency to claim projects of same government you don’t know where they had funds to do it” he fumed.

The NPP Member of Parliament hopeful made these remarks when he paid courtesy call on the Chief of Kpawumo as part of his ‘Thank You’ tour of the constituency. He seized the opportunity to inspect an bridge connecting Kalpohin-Kanvili to the Kpawumo community.

Speaking to Journalists, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate however commended the Kpawumo Naa for adding his voice at the Urban Roads for the project to commence but cautioned the NDC legislator not to take credit a project that he knows nothing about.

He further clarified that the project is a government of Ghana contract through Urban Roads and the contractor on site is Ihsan Company Ltd.

“Our government cannot be championing this kind of project and our MP who has run away from the constituency will now come back and be claiming credit for them” he chided.
