The Gushegu Constituency Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Mohammed Imoro, has touted the road infrastructure achievements of Lawyer Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli, the Member of Parliament for the area under three years of his first term.

According to him, the Gushegu Constituency has a total of 311.1km of feeder roads network.

In a Facebook post, the Director of Communications stated 147.8km out of the total number were engineered as at 2020. Additionally, he indicated about 108.2km are also semi-engineered.

Mr. Imoro emphasized this record of the first term legislator who is also the Deputy Minister of Transport is unmatched in the Gushegu constituency.

He went further to give project specifics together with the kilometers being worked on across the beneficiary communities.

Gushegu constituency has a total of 311.1km of feeder roads network. As at 2020, 147.8km of the total were engineered, 108.2km semi-engineered, and 55.1km not engineered at all.

The Member of Parliament of the constituency, Hon Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli, baring in mind his constituency is a predominantly farming constituency, and in order to open up to constituency for farmers to have easy access to motorable roads to facilitate the transportation of farm produce, he has made road development one of his topmost priorities.

In view of this, work is currently ongoing in over 80km of some critical feeder roads across the constituency, namely;

● Kpatinga – Kutung – Galwei road (31km),
● Toti Junction – Damankung road (18.4km),
● Katani – Nabuli road (18km)
● Zantili – Lunlua – Chimboni road (13km).
● Soochi fong road in Gushegu township, to be tarred.

Work has since completed on the following roads;
● Zinindo – Nyoligu road (9km)
● Gigibila – Galwei road
● Kunnayili and other town roads in Gushegu (8km) are tarred.

Work will soon commence on the Nalogu – Nawuhugu road, which is 26km.

Note: This is just in the area of feeder roads.
