The Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Hajia Safia Mohammed has pledged to work tirelessly with her Boss, Madam Kate Gyamfuah for the party to realize its desire of winning the 2024 general elections.
“I have always supported my Boss, it’s a new position although and a role altogether but per the job description, it’s not new – I have done it before and I know with her support and guidance, our main focus and target as a political party is to break the 8; which I know come 2024 with the good work and foundation laid by President Nana Akufo-Addo, Ghanaians would surely give us another term to protect our progress and continue our good leadership” she stated.
Hajia Safia was reelected for her second term as the Savannah Regional Women’s Organizer last year but has been elevated to serve as a Deputy National Women’s Organizer for her remarkable and outstanding performance in the 2020 general election which saw the NPP winning 3 parliamentary seats from their previous one seat.
Addressing Journalists after the announcement of her appointment, the businesswoman took solace in the adage that many are called but few are chosen, stating the almighty in his own wisdom bestow sovereignty on who so ever he wishes.
“We are sixteen (16) Regional Women Organizers and I think anyone of us could have occupied that position better than I am” she added.
She continued, “With the little experience I have gathered from students politics serving as Girls Prefect from Junior High then as JSS, Secondary School as Girls Prefect, Tamale Polytechnic as SRC Women’s Commissioner, Deputy Women’s Organizer in the then Northern Region with 31 constituencies and now incumbent Women’s Organizer for Savannah Region, I think I have a whole lot to partner with my Boss Obaatampa Nana Ayisha Maame Kate Gyamfuah and the entire National Executive body so that we shall work together to deliver 2024 to protect the good legacies of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.”
