Mr Haruna Mohammed - Deputy National General Secretary of the NPP

The Northern Regional Director of the Youth Employment Agency, Mr. Haruna Mohammed affectionately called Prof Haruna has been appointed as a Deputy General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party.

The NPP General Secretary, Lawyer Justin Kodua Frimpong announced the appointment at a news conference on Friday, August 26, 2022 in Accra.  

This was done together with other appointment portfolios pursuant to Articles 10 and 15 of the New Patriotic Party Constitution.

Mr. Haruna Mohammed has previously served a Deputy Director of the NPP National Communications Directorate.

He also served as the IT Coordinator for Northern Region where he coordinated election results of the NPP in the past general elections.   

The NPP Chief Scribe also announced Dr Antoinette Tsibu-Darko, Executive Director of Danquah Institute as one of the Deputy General Secretary.

Mr. Kodua stated the National Executive Committee has also appointed Joseph Nganiba Kwayaja and Chris Lloyd Nii Kwei as Deputies of the NPP National Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye.  

The National Women’s Organizer, Madam Kate Gyamfuah will be assisted by Hajia Safia Mohammed, who is presently serving as the Savannah Regional Women Organizer and one Miriam Awurama Duah.

Madam Sandra Sarkodie-Addo and Isaac Jay Nii Amahtey Hyde will also serve Deputy National Youth Organizers of the party.

Abdul Taric Bonsu and Hajia Ayesha Yussif have also been appointed to serve as the Deputy National Nasara Coordinators of the party.

Meanwhile, in accordance with Article 10(7)(3) of the party constitution, the party has also appointed Hon Dan Botwe as Director of Campaign Strategy, Richard Ahiagbah as Director of Communications, William Yamoah as Director of Finance and Administration, Lawyer Evans Nimako as Director of Research and Elections, Eric Ntori as Director of Information and Technology (IT), Kwodwo Afari as Director of Protocols and Frederick Kofi Ameyaw as Director of External Affairs.
