Hajia Fatahiya Aziz, a staffer at the Office of the President who hails from Savelugu has sent her best wishes to all aspirants in today’s New Patriotic Party constituency executives’ election.
43 prospective candidates filed last week and successfully went through vetting to contest the various positions from the Chairman to Nasara Coordinator.
“As we go to the polls to elect our executives to steer the affairs of the party in preparations towards the 2024 elections, I wish you all the best.”
Madam Fatahiya said she has no doubts about the individual qualities of all the candidates in the contest which will assiduously propel the chances of the New Patriotic Party to break the 8-year governance cycle in next year’s presidential and parliamentary elections.
“I am left with no doubt that all of you possess the qualities needed to work assiduously to help the party break the 8” she told THE CUSTODIAN in an interview.
However, she intimated the delegates will have to select some of you to be in charge of the party, asserting further that, “It would not mean that those who will not make the list are less qualified or do not have what it takes to help us win power.”
The Presidential Staffer stated this only means the NPP is bound by the tenets of democratic practice, therefore, elections have to be held to decide on you.
“I wish you all the blessings of Allah as the elections are being held. May the best among you emerge victorious” she prayed.
