It is indeed true that we are not in normal times as every corner of the globe is bedeviled with the Covid-19 pandemic. This has brought so much stress to the various health facilities and frontline health workers worldwide.

There has therefore been a rallying call from all health delivery facilities around the world for people to come to their aid as they have been overwhelmed with the increasing number of cases and deaths each day.

It was therefore due to the above that on June 6, 2020 that, ‘The Team of Hope’ decided to donate to the Builsa South and North District Hospitals and the Disabled society in Builsa land.

The items include Gloves – 100 pieces, Spirit 5ltr -10 gallons, Parazone 5ltrs-  10 gallons, Garcia soap – 10 boxes, Gun thermometers -2, Veronica buckets- 10pieces, Water receiving bowls -10pieces, Reusable face mask – 400 pieces.

The rest are Tissue paper – 4 large rolls, Liquid soap 5ltr – 10 gallons, Hand sanitizer-240 bottles, and Surgical srubs-20 pieces.

The Team of Hope is the only Health NGO in that part of the country and one of those in the Upper East Region that believes in the giving of hope through health.

Representing the Board chairman, the Executive Director, the entire board and membership, Mr. Anthony Akum-Nyemi acknowledged that as mostly health workers themselves, they understand these are indeed hard times in the lives of health facilities and health workers in the country during the pandemic.

He therefore hopes these items will help put the beneficiaries in a better position to handle COVID-19 cases when they come up.

In their acceptance speeches, the Medical Directors of the two facilities expressed their gratitude to the NGO for donating the items to them.

The items, he said, has been the biggest donation so far that they have received.

The beneficiaries were full of joy as their prayers have been answered by the Team of Hope.

The disabled community in both districts could not also hide their joy as their leaders were full of praises for the Team of Hope for always having them in mind.

They added that they have been hearing of people donating PPEs on radio but none has thought of them apart from The Team of Hope.

They thanked the NGO for their kind gesture and wished God’s blessings upon the organization and all its membership.

“Despite the various successes of The Team of Hope, we still face the problem of funding.”

“We are therefore calling on all cooperate organizations, other NGOs, benevolent individuals and government agencies to either partner us or assist in any way possible so that we can keep improving the health of the people and thereby giving them hope through our health activities.”

” We also wish to acknowledge the hard working executive council members, the local coordinators of The Team of Hope and all private individuals for their enormous contributions both in cash and in kind towards the work of The Team of Hope.”

“God bless you all for showing so much love for buluk and its environs,” the team stated.
