The Deputy National Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Safia Mohammed, has given firm assurance to the citizenry that the largest opposition party will hold the feet of the Mahama led administration to the fire and demand what is right for the nation.
In doing so, she said no NPP member will be intimidated with the use of the National Security and other state security agencies by the NDC government.
Hajia Safia indicated in all indications, the Mahama administration has failed the nation and their only strategy now is to use the security agencies to intimidate and harass NPP faithful, allegedly chasing their members for non-implication matters and attempting to silence their voices through fear.
“But let them hear us loud and clear: we will not be cowed. We will not relent. We will not abandon our duty to speak truth to power and to demand what is right for Ghanaians.
“We remain strong, vigilant, and committed. Our positive criticism, our unwavering activism, and our zeal to hold the government accountable will only grow stronger. Because Ghana deserves better. And the NPP is the only political tradition with the vision, the discipline, and the leadership to deliver it,” she stated unequivocally.
The Deputy Women Organizer made this statement during the General Meeting, Fresher’s Orientation and handing over ceremony of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) at the Valley View University branch.
The former National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme in her remarks noted the task ahead is clear – to rebuild the base, reclaim our message and re-energize the grassroots.
“Friends, we are at a turning point in the history of our great party. Having exited government, this is the time not for retreat but for renewal. The task ahead is clear: we must rebuild the base, reclaim our message, and re-energize the grassroots. And TESCON stands at the very heart of that mission.”
According to her, the NPP youth are not just the future of the party but they are the force of the present, underscoring the important role they are expected to play in the ongoing process to regroup the party.
“The work of reclaiming power in 2028 starts right here, in this room, with each and every one of you. Your energy, your voices, your social media influence, your campus networks, and your community engagements are the weapons with which we will fight and win. You are our secret weapon” she emphasized.
She added, “You are the bridge between the party and the future. And we, as a party, recognize this. That is why I am here today to tell you boldly and clearly that the NPP will never forget its youth.”
Hajia Safia Mohammed indicated that the NPP does not see the youth as tools for elections but as partners for governance and promised the party will not leave them out in a future NPP government.
