Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide Abdul-Malik Kweku Baako Jnr yesterday bid farewell to his mother Madam Gloria Aba Akyerba Addison, popularly referred to as Sweet Gloria.
Pallbearers carried the mortal remains of Sweet Gloria for internment at the Gethsemane Memorial Garden, at Shiashie, in Accra after a befitting funeral rite at Tema Joint Church at Community 7.
High profile personalities including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, Trade and Industry Minister Alan Kyerematen and former Chief of Staff under the John Dramani Mahama administration Julius Debrah attended the funeral.
Other friends of the veteran and ebullient journalist Kweku Baako, in the journalism profession; and leaders of various political parties were also present to mourn with him.
The late Madam Gloria Aba Addison died on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at the Tema Maritime Hospital after a short illness.
She was the wife of the late Kofi Baako, who served in various ministerial portfolios including Ministry of Information under Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah.
