Kpandai District Chief Executive - Emmanuel Atta Tatablata

The District Chief Executive for Kpandai in the Northern Region, Hon Emmanuel Atta Tatablata, has expressed worry over the increasing rate of child kidnappings and motorbike robberies among others in recent times across the district.

The DCE observed these activities has created a serious panic and anxiety amongst residents affecting the livelihood of traders and artisans in the district.

Addressing Members of the Kpandai District Assembly, the Northern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) led by the Regional Minister, Alhaji Shani Alhassan Shaibu, Traditional leaders among other dignitaries during his confirmation last Friday, October 1, 2021, Mr. Atta Tatablata indicated that, “One doesn’t know when he/she could be attacked”, adding for this reason, “it is only fair that we take interest in the activities of strangers in our communities because of the negative manner in which these activities are affecting economic, social and political lives of our people.”

He said the maintenance of peace and security is shared responsibility and therefore entreated the people to vigilante.

Meanwhile, the nomination of Mr. Emmanuel Atta Tatablata received an overwhelming confirmation with 39 assembly members voting YES to endorse the candidate representing 95 percent and 2 people representing just 5 percent vote NO to oppose the President’s nomination.

The Kpandai DCE elect is among 6 Municipal and District Chief Executives retained by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the northern region.
