Ms Fathia Abdul Aziz, a Staffer at the Office of the President has been adjudged the ‘Most Promising Female Politician’ in northern Ghana at the 2022 Northern Excellence Awards held in Tamale last Sunday (March 6, 2022).
The prestigious award is organized by the Celebrities Charity Development Foundation to recognize the outstanding personalities and organizations for their modest contributions towards social change, youth empowerment and poverty alleviation.
As a young female politician, Hajia Fathia received the award in recognition of her benevolence towards youth empowerment and her perseverance in the Ghanaian political environment.
Through her political influence, she has been able to secure job opportunities for the youth and educational scholarships for a significant number of brilliant but needy teenagers in the north. She has also been able to support a number of underserved communities with infrastructure facilities to bring the needed development to the society.
In her brief remarks, Ms Fathia said she was humbled with the recognition and thanked the event organizers. She also thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo for reposing such confidence in her in the past years. She further expressed to her family for the unwavering support she enjoyed from them since day one.
The Presidential Staffer noted that the award was a challenged for her, thereby, promising not to relent on her quest to inspire others and contribute positively to impact the lives of many others.
